KnowCo Consultants
KnowCo is a team of experienced specialists providing Governance, Risk and Compliance (‘GRC’) support
to financial institutions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.
This support runs across the organisational spectrum, from GRC strategy, through the policy and
process-system infrastructure, to assurance and risk intelligence.
We work with a small, select group of partners acknowledged as leaders in particular GRC
application areas.
Management Team
Paul Ashton
Paul held senior risk and origination positions at GE Capital, United Bank of Kuwait, Citibank
and Arbuthnot Latham Merchant Bank, majoring in structured, asset and infrastructure financing.
Since 2001 he has led and supported regulatory and best practice governance, risk and compliance
projects, including capital and liquidity risk management assignments, in the UK and Europe,
the Middle East and Africa.
Lise Land
Lise has a PhD in expert systems and held senior positions with Unisys and Deloitte. She
has delivered many major risk and compliance projects for banks and other financial
institutions including asset management and broking firms.
She and her team provide support in GRC project and programme management, and process embedding.
Theo Scott
Theo has a BSc (Econ), an MSc in Computer Science and a PhD in Mathematical Programming. During
the past 10 years he has worked at various UK and international banks and financial
institutions supporting Basel II regulatory capital requirements, quantification of
economic capital, stress testing and risk appetite. For the last three years Theo has assisted
clients in optimising risk-sensitive modelling by deploying bespoke information management and
business intelligence applications, especially in adverse data environments.
